Deciding to patent a technological invention is a commercial decision and a number of factors should be considered before doing so. In this film, an entrepreneur contends that there is no point filing a patent unless you have many tens of thousands of USD to defend it, while an expert explains the different ways a patent can be commercialised (e.g. via use, license or sale), and how risks and costs can be managed.
